Filton was founded by Mr. William Murray, originally to manufacture conventional leather oil seals for rotary shafts.

Since 1942 Filton has been involved in the design, development, and manufacture of a wide range of precision-made products for industries worldwide.

Filton is a world leader in the production of Standard and Special Rotary Seals. Through our use of state of the art designs and sophisticated seal face materials, we regularly undertake and solve a multitude of complex sealing problems.

Multiport Rotary Unions and Swivel Joints are now commonplace, and if a suitable design is not already available Filton's Expert Design Team will liaise with the customer and come up with a solution.

Quality is Paramount and Filton's strict quality assurance procedures include 100% pressure testing of self-contained rotary seals before releasing to the customer. All tests are recorded and can be traced to each unit's unique serial number.
