Cross-Border Collaboration Between The US, Netherlands & Denmark To Strengthen Cyber Security

Shipping and cyber threats go hand in hand. Cybersecurity is not related to a particular sector or region, therefore, the need for cross-border cooperation comes up and is essential for better security and safety for the shipping industry as a whole.

Andreas Nordseth, Director of the Danish Maritime Authority, “The increasing digitalization poses significant new security challenges. Cyber threats know no bounds making it vital that we cooperate on maritime cybersecurity to ensure shipping both at sea and in port.”

Conference in Denmark in 2020:

A maritime cybersecurity conference is going to be hosted by The United States, the Netherlands, and Denmark in the Netherlands.

Representatives from other countries like France, Germany and the UK will also join the conference along with the host countries.

The second installment of the maritime cybersecurity conference will be hosted by the Danish Maritime Authority in 2020.
