NYK And Hokuetsu Receive Delivery Of New Wood-Chip Carrier 1

A new wood-chip carrier for Hokuetsu Corporation was delivered on September 11 at Oshima Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. in Saikai city, Nagasaki, Japan, and a naming and delivery ceremony was held on the same day. NYK and Hokuetsu have a long-term contract for this vessel.

This new carrier is an eco-ship that uses about 15 percent less fuel compared to conventional wood-chip carriers.
